Gestión minorista de las marcas de distribuidor: producto y merchandising

Abstract

La gestión minorista de las marcas de distribuidor comprende la gestión del producto y del merchandising. En este artículo se analizan, por una parte, las percepciones de los fabricantes sobre ambos aspectos, poniéndose de manifiesto una discrepancia entre fabricantes y no fabricantes de marca de distribuidor sobre la gestión minorista de valor hacia estas marcas y un elevado grado de acuerdo con relación a su trato ventajoso en el lineal. Adicionalmente, se utilizan datos de mercado que aportan evidencia de: 1) la calidad objetiva similar de las marcas de fabricante nacionales y las marcas de distribuidor tradicionales y el menor precio de estas últimas marcas y 2) la cuota de espacio superior de la marca de distribuidor tradicional en comparación con la de la marca de fabricante.
