Abstract

Conjunto de 3 fichas formado por 1 separador y 2 fichas que forman unidad. El separador lleva por título “Lenguaje científico del XVIII-XIX”. Incluye, además, una remisión (escrita por María Goyri) al Vocabulario para las voces y expresiones siguientes: “glándula pineal”, “químico”, “óptica”, “gravitación” y “mocular”. El conjunto alude a dos voces nuevas del lenguaje científico de finales del siglo XVIII y comienzos del XIX: “wólfram” (citada en el discurso de ingreso en la Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales de Enrique Moles, leído el 28 de marzo de 1934, a partir de “Análisis químico del Volfram, y examen de un nuevo metal que entra en su composición”, estudio realizado por los químicos Juan José y Fausto Elhuyar quienes lograron aislar dicho elemento a finales del XVIII), y “cáliz”, voz usada por el poeta Meléndez Valdés con arreglo a los recientes descubrimientos de botánica llevados a cabo en su época.
