Abstract

La economía circular como nuevo paradigma de funcionamiento de la economía, tiene su base en un modelo de negocio circular en la que los productos en su última etapa de uso tienen una continuidad, evitando su total desecho, reutilizando su empleo de un proceso al siguiente y así sucesivamente. Dentro de este modelo, un buen ejemplo descriptivo es el ciclo integral del agua, recurso finito y a la vez renovable, que debe utilizarse buscando el máximo rendimiento posible y posteriormente reutilizarse reduciendo al mínimo la generación de residuos. La eficiencia energética e hídrica juega un papel central como estrategia de impulso a la economía circular, planteándose en este artículo a través de ejemplos de producción y consumo de energía de forma sinérgica en el ciclo integral del agua, a partir de fuentes renovables como son la hidráulica y el biogás
