Abstract

Even though nowadays the concept of Cultural heritage is broad, there are a series of cultural properties that have an exceptional cultural and natural value and that do not belong in it, that are rather dependent on other types of heritage such as the ethnological or the industrial heritage. This is the case of the agrarian, farming, or forestry historic or traditional objects, that deserve their own recognition as a new type of cultural heritage, that is, Agrarian heritage. Our suggestion is that Agrarian Heritage should be included in the appropriate legislation following the definition and the characterization that was made in the Charter of Baeza on Agrarian Heritage, which is the reference document for the matter at an international scale.
