The Amazighs and Granada

Abstract

En esta contribución, se resumen las conexiones entre la Historia de Granada y las poblaciones amaziges, teniendo en cuenta de que Granada fue una fundación zirí, capital almorávide y ciudad destacada en el periodo almohade. Durante el emirato nazarí llegó a contar con un cuerpo del ejército Zanata y los meriníes migraron y ocuparon parte de terrotorio nasrí. *** In this contribution, we summarize the connections between the history of Granada and the Amazigh populations, taking into account that Granada was a Zirid foundation, an Almoravid capital and a prominent city in the Almohad period. During the Nasrid emirate, Granada had a Zanata army corps and the Merinids migrated and occupied part of the Nasrid territory.
