Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la fiabilidad de un ejercicio funcional excéntrico de la musculatura isquiosural, el Swing Eccentric Hamstring Exercise utilizando un DEMF y su relación con el rendimiento en el salto y el sprint. Conclusiones: Tras la realización de la presente tesis doctoral se puede concluir que el DEMF es un dispositivo fiable para evaluar la fuerza excéntrica de la musculatura isquiosural en jugadores de fútbol. A su vez, realizar el SEHE a velocidades isocinéticas altas presenta una alta correlación con la mejora del rendimiento en el salto vertical con contramovimiento (CMJ), el salto vertical con contramovimiento en la pierna no dominante (CMJ No Dom) y el squat jump (SJ). Del mismo modo, hubo una correlación moderada con la mejora del rendimiento en el sprint a 10 y 20 metros. Por el contrario, no hubo ninguna relación con la mejora del salto horizontal a ninguna de las velocidades isocinéticas de ejecución.

To determine the reliability of a functional eccentric exercise of the hamstring muscles, the Swing Eccentric Hamstring Exercise using a DEMF and its relationship with jumping and sprinting performance. Conclusions: After the completion of this doctoral thesis it can be concluded that the DEMF is a reliable device to assess the eccentric strength of the hamstring muscles in football players. In turn, performing the SEHE at high isokinetic speeds is highly correlated with improved performance in the vertical jump with countermovement (CMJ), the vertical jump with countermovement on the nondominant leg (CMJ No Dom) and the squat jump (SJ). Similarly, there was a moderate correlation with improved 10 and 20 metre sprint performance. In contrast, there was no relationship with improvement in the horizontal jump at any of the isokinetic execution speeds.
