Pizarnik-artefacto: autoconfiguración y mito

Abstract

The author’s myth appears constantly in the literary essays written about Alejandra Pizarnik. This article talks about how Pizarnik helps to build her legend by means of her autobiographical texts, especially her diary, her letters, her interviews, in order to find her own place, a “different” place in a wide cultural context. Our hypothesis is that the Argentinian writer knows she is a “cultural product” and she plays strategically and effectively with readers and criticism market expectations. In this sense, Alejandra Pizarnik shapes an aura system that separates, excludes, marginalizes and, at the same time, makes different, “distinguishes”.
