Continuidad en hábitat y continuidad ritual. Hipogeismo en el Alto Guadalquivir

Abstract

New data about permanent dwelling and socioeconomic transformations during the first half of IV millennium BC were offered us by excavations at Polideportivo de Martos joined to evidences in relation to the use of ritual for legitimate territorial occupation, property and social power. Excavations at Marroquíes (Jaén) have also provided new data about all these aspects during the whole of Chalcolithic period, from the end of IV millennium BC to the beginning of the II millennium BC, offering us an interesting continuity in systems of dwelling (underground and semi-underground structural complexes) and ritual systems (animal and human burials) in relation to the Late Neolithic features.
