Estudios sobre fagos y partículas similares a colas de fagos de myxococcus coralloides D

Abstract

Se ha realizado un estudio sobre las partículas similares a colas de fago que aparecen en los sobrenadantes liticos de myxococcus coralloides D. en relación con la lisis de esta bacteria. También se ha estudiado la inducción de estas particulas con mitomicina c y luz ultravioleta su composición química estabilidad frente a varios agentes físicos y químicos y actividad biológica. Se ha desarrollado un proceso de purificación. Por otro lado se ha intentado encontrar algún fago capaz de multiplicarse sobre m. coralloides D habiéndose encontrado que esta mixobacteria es resistente a la infección por fagos. Al investigar las causas de dicha resistencia se ha observado que m. coralloides D posee una fuerte actividad dnasa en el espacio periplásmico que digeriría cualquier adn extraño que fuera introducido en las células
