Abstract

“Realmente puede decirse que- la España musulmana fue durante su larga historia, la tierra más ortodoxa de todas las islámicas, por lo mismo que era la más lejana del centro de la fe. Aunque su cultura literaria y teológica era un fiel trasunto de la oriental, sin embargo, las herejías innúmeras de Oriente no encontraban aquí más que un eco imperceptible”. Estas palabras del maestro Asín Palacios se a vienen cabalmente con la evidente realidad de los hechos históricos. La religiosidad de la España musulmana estuvo siempre regulada por la estricta e inalienable observancia de una superestructura ideológica: la doctrina de Malik b. Anas, solícitamente cuidada y radicalmente impuesta por los agentes de la más taimada represión y la influencia política y social más decidida: los hombres de leyes y religión hispano musulmanes, los alfaquíes.
