Exploración de patrones numéricos mediante configuraciones puntuales : estudio con escolares de primer ciclo de secundaria (12-14 años)

Abstract

Este trabajo es una aproximación curricular a los numeros figurados como sistema simbólico de representacion de números, que permite profundizar, mediante actividades de representación, en un tipo de análisis estructural de los números. El interes de este análisis esta en delimitar la potencialidad del sistema simbólico considerado para expresar determinados aspectos conceptuales y procedimentales de los números naturales. Un segundo objetivo se centra en explicitar las actividades congnitivas más relevantes que surgen de manera natural al trabajar con el sistema simbólico de las configuraciones puntuales. También este trabajo tiene carácter curricular. Un tercer objetivo es poner de manifiesto, analizar e interpretar la comprensión que muestran escolares de 13 y 14 años de edad sobre las nociones de estructura de un número, patrones y relaciones numéricas, sucesión y termino general de una sucesión, cuando se las aborda desde un sistema ampliado de simbolizaciones para números naturales.
