Estudio densitométrico computarizado de cromosomas humanos

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo ha sido el estudio de las características cuantitativas de las diferentes bandas cromosomicas que constituyen el cariotipo humano. Para ello hemos realizado un análisis automatizado de las diferentes curvas de densidad cromosomica, basándose este en la aplicación sobre cada una de estas curvas de una serie de parámetros previamente diseñados: altura, posición y anchura de los picos, diferencia de altura entre cada pico y sus valles adyacentes y posición relativa de cada pico respecto a tales valles. Evaluando estos parámetros hemos asignado a cada pico de las curvas su banda correspondiente de la nomenclatura de parís. Esto nos ha permitido calcular las frecuencias y alturas medias de las bandas y en base a estos datos hemos descrito las curvas de densidad tipo de cada uno de los cromosomas. Hemos comparado nuestros resultados con los de otros autores (lundsteen, 1980). Para comprobar la utilidad de nuestro estudio hemos realizado unos programas de clasificación y cariotipaje automáticos en base principalmente a la altura y posición de las diferentes bandas, aunque en cada grupo cromosomico hemos considerado parámetros específicos, significativos para discriminar los cromosomas de estos grupos.
