Innovación turística en España. El impacto de la realidad extendida

Abstract

The technological advancement witnessed lately is transforming the landscape of our daily lives, and it has made its way into the tourism sector and has changed both the way in which companies offer their services and the way in which customers enjoy them. This transformation is based on artificial intelligence, which, in turn, provides several transformative and interesting technologies. This work is about extended reality technologies and their impact on tourism innovation in Spain from an analytical perspective of the importance of the tourism sector for the Spanish economy, and the potential that these technologies can provide for tourism and for improving accessibility within the Spanish society. In order to meet these objectives, a hybrid methodology approach was adopted, drawing on the strengths of both quantitative and qualitative methods. Finally, the results of the methods adapted were discussed and a comparison with the main objectives of the work is made along with suggestions for future related research.
