Abstract

In this text we intend to give an account of the debate that exists in the field of environmental history and ecology itself regarding those goods and services held in common. We will make some references to the state of this debate in our country; a debate that is essentially taking place in the field of Agrarian History and to a lesser extent in the history of fishing. Contributions to the debate have also come from the field of Anthropology, especially since the subject was the subject of one of the sessions of the VIth Anthropology Congress, held in Tenerife in 1993. Finally, we intend to discuss some of the latest contributions on the subject, trying to establish our position on the basis of them.
