Abstract

This paper aims to provide a case study on the transformation of the forms of commons management between the end of the nineteenth century and the twentieth century. The commons of Güejar Sierra have a long historical tradition that is addressed in this paper, addressing two research objectives: firstly, the governance structure, the rules of access, tenure and use of assets determined by the existence of a community governance institution and, secondly, the transformation of the forms of use and management of this space with agroforestry vocation.
