Razones para un canon escolar de literaturas gráficas

Abstract

Proponemos en este capítulocinco razones para invitar a considerar la conveniencia de incorporar las literaturas gráficas al canon escolar de lecturas. Una primera parte del trabajo está dedicada a examinar el estatus que han tenido dichas literaturas dentro de la consideración general del sistema literario, concretando de qué manera nos requieren orientar nuestra mirada de un modo diferente a la habitual aproximación logocéntrica que define nuestro concepto de alfabetización. En una segunda parte, pro- ponemos una serie de claves para insertar las literaturas gráficas dentro de una tipología que no las excluya del currículo, sino que las integre con total normalidad, sin recaer en la tradicional desconfianza hacia al imagen. Por último, nos ocupamos de exponer de manera detallada las cinco razones que, pensamos, justifican dicho canon escolar: para establecer criterios de selección; para enseñar literatura de otra manera; para enseñar algo más que literatura; para reconectar con nuestra necesidad de ficción; y para construir constelaciones literarias.

In this chapter we propose five reasons to invite you to consider the convenience of incorporating graphic literature into the school canon of readings. A first part of the work is dedicated to examining the status that these literatures have had. within the general consideration of the literary system, specifying how they require us to orient our gaze in a different way to the usual logocentric approach that defines our concept of literacy. In a second part, we propose a series of keys to insert graphic literatures within a typology that does not exclude them from the curriculum, but integrates them with total normality, without falling into the traditional distrust of the image. Finally, we take care of explaining in detail the five reasons that, we think, justify said school canon: to establish selection criteria; to teach literature in another way; to teach something more than literature; to reconnect with our need for fiction; and to build literary constellations.
