Abstract

Los telecentros han logrado atención en el discurso del desarrollo internacional. Al proporcionar un mayor acceso a las NTIC, ayudan a reducir las brechas y desigualdades sociales, económicas, de conocimiento. Este artículo examina críticamente el concepto de telecentros y sugiere una tipología para describir la diversidad de experiencias a que están dando lugar, con particular énfasis en las incipientes experiencias con telecentros en América Latina.
