Abstract

Del 23 al 26 de Marzo de 1982 se realizó en Quito, Ecuador, un Seminario Regional sobre Políticas Agrarias y Sobrevivencia Campesina en Ecosistemas de Altura. Participaron en la organización del seminario la Comisión Económica para América Latina, CEPAL. El Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente, PNUMA y la Secretaría de Desarrollo Rural Integral de la Presidencia de la República del Ecuador, con la colaboración del Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería. El propósito del Seminario, que constituyó la culminación de un proceso de análisis impulsado por la CEPAL, el PNUMA y el Gobierno de Holanda, fue el de analizar la situación del campesinado andino en ecosistemas de altura y sus relaciones con el conjunto de la economía y la sociedad.
