Abstract

Há mais de três décadas, a gestão dos recursos de tecnologias da informação era considerada como uma atividade para apoiar as organizações e um serviço, onde a escolha de uma solução de tecnologia ou de um sistema computacional baseava-se nas atividades de planeamento, aquisição, manutenção e controle dos recursos de tecnologia, para o processamento dos dados a serem empregados. Em um mercado cada vez mais competitivo, verifica-se que as empresas buscam a melhoria da produtividade por meio de um dos princípios básicos que é a redução significativa dos seus custos operacionais. Esse artigo irá apresentar, a partir de um caso, uma análise de uma empresa multinacional que atua no mercado de prestação de serviços de terceirização de TI, a utilização do framework Seis Sigma como arcabouço de sua Governança de TI que pode auxiliar na melhoria da produtividade e em sua consequente redução significativa dos custos e um melhor desempenho operacional nos processos da empresa de prestação de serviços terceirizados de TI.

For more than three decades, the management of information technology resources considered as an activity to support organizations and a service, where the choice of a technology solution or a computer system based on the planning, acquisition activities, maintenance and control of technology resources, for the data processing deployed. In an increasingly competitive market, it appears that companies seek to improve productivity through one of the basic principles is to significantly reduce their operating costs. This article will present, from a case study, an analysis of a multinational company engaged in the provision of IT outsourcing services market, the use of Seis Sigma as a framework for their IT governance can help improve productivity and its consequent significant reduction in costs and improved operational performance in business processes for providing outsourced IT services.
