Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus is an endocrine disease that affects a high percentage of population and requires an amount of health resources. In child population we find more incidence of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM1), also called insulindependent. It’s a great responsibility for children with DM1 to keep blood sugar levels and diet under control, especially in school canteen. Canteen monitors are the main people in charge of diabetic child in school, so they must have a basic knowledge and skill in techniques. Objective: Train the dining room monitors of company Lleure Quàlia providing necessary knowledge of treatment for the situation of compensation and decompensation of diabetic child in order to reduce anxiety in these situations. Methodology: After a thorough bibliographic research it was decided to carry out an 8-stage program consisting of 4 sessions in groups of 15-20 with mask, distance and ventilation. This health education project is focused on leisure and dining monitors, whether or not they accompany diabetic children from the Lleure Quàlia de Tàrrega company with collaboration of Associació de Diabètics de Catalunya and students of the last year of nursing and physiotherapy degree that will lead the project. The project will be evaluated by comparing pre-post intervention surveys. Results: The pre-post survey shows an increase in knowledge among those participants. Hamilton scale values show lower values of anxiety level at the same exposed case of childhood diabetic. We don’t have long-term results but we can say that, in short term, the project has borne fruit. Conclusion: Through the application of this health education program, the aim is to reduce the feeling of anguish of the leisure and dining room monitors, improving their knowledge and attitudes towards diabetic child and possible complications that type 1 diabetes mellitus may entail.
