L'esperança de vida augmenta dia a dia en el nostre país, aquest fet succeeix gràcies als avanços de la medicina, millorant la qualitat de vida de la gent gran. Aquest fet permet que l'última etapa de la vida estigui repleta tant de noves relacions socials com de noves experiències, sense deixar de banda les necessitats sexuals. La present investigació és l'evidència de la presència de la sexualitat al llarg de tota la vida i suposa un apropament a les percepcions i sentiments que generen aquests apropaments, partint de la visió del col·lectiu i dels professionals que treballen en contacte amb la gent gran. La finalitat última de l'estudi és detectar si encara mantenen conductes sexuals, de quina manera i quin significat atorguen a aquestes pràctiques.

Life expectancy is enhancing day by day in our country, this is happening thanks to medicine advances, improving old age people quality of life. This fact allows the last stage of life be full of new social relationships and new experiences, without setting aside sexual needs. The current investigation is the evidence of the sexual presence along one’s whole life and supposes an approximation to the perceptions and feelings that these generate, starting from the vision of this group of people and the professionals working in contact to the elderly. The last finality of this project is detecting if they are still keeping sexual behaviour in what way and which sense they give to this practise.
