Abstract

En el nostre país vora un milió de persones pateix una malaltia mental de característiques greus, i els estudis ens diuen que aproximadament un 15% de la població arribarà a desenvolupar un trastorn mental. El que s’observa en els diagnosticats és una discriminació per part de la població general, el que els acaba suposant una dificultat a l’hora d’evolucionar positivament i establir la seva vida quotidiana. En aquest estudi s’avalua el nivell d’estigma d’una mostra determinada i es planteja un programa que permeti la disminució de l’estigma. Es realitza una enquesta, a través d’una adaptació del qüestionari de “opiniones hacia la enfermedad mental (OMI)” a un grup concret de la població de Lleida per tal de valorar el nivell d’estigma que presenten. Tot i que ja fa temps que s’està treballant en la reducció de l’estigma, continua sent molta la gent que segueix tenint prejudicis sobre aquests usuaris del Sistema de Salud, sobretot en l’àmbit laboral pel que, s’ha considerat adequat enfocar el programa a empreses, fent participar a treballadors i alts càrrecs.
