Monitoreo de la resistencia a insecticidas en carpocapsa

Abstract

Cydia pomonella (L.), agusanado de la manzana o carpocapsa(Foto 1), es una de las plagas más importantesde manzano y peral. Sus antecedentes de resistencia a insecticidas con diversos tipos de acción son conocidosen todo el mundo. En la zona de producción de manzano de Lleida se ha detectado que la resistencia a insecticidas se debe principalmente a la actividad de las enzimas multifunción oxidasas (MFO), que metabolizan el insecticida antes de que alcance su lugar de acción. Para desarrollar un método para el monitoreo de la resistencia, utilizamos adultos de campo para medir la actividad de las MFO. Los resultados obtenidos nos proveen de información que permite indicar el potencial desarrollo de resistencia a insecticidas en campo y, por lo tanto, nos permite influir en la toma de decisiones sobre la mejor estrategia para prevenirla o revertirla.
