Every branch of law operates within the framework of a particular legal system. Therefore, it is conditioned by its mode of insertion in the legal system to which it belongs. The set of its norms, the principles that underlie them, the axiological values that condition these and those, the cultural dimension and the way in which this whole set disciplines and preordains the realization of the law allows us to conclude that it is not possible to have an integrated vision of a particular branch of law if it is not captured, both in its internal structure and logic, and in its operability, in the light of the system in which it is inserted.

Todo o ramo do direito opera no quadro de um sistema jurídico determinado. Por isso, é condicionado pelo seu modo de inserção no sistema jurídico a que pertence. O conjunto das suas normas, os princípios que as subjazem, os valores axiológicos que condicionam estes e aquelas, a dimensão cultural e o modo como todo este conjunto disciplina e preordena a realização do direito permite concluir que não se pode ter uma visão integrada de um determinado ramo do Direito se o mesmo não for captado, tanto na sua estrutura e lógica internas, como na sua operatividade, à luz do sistema a que pertence.
