Rotulagem de produtos biológicos e perceção do consumidor

Abstract

The consumption of organic products has been increasing over the years. Consumers choose these products in order to adopt a healthier diet, which has positive impacts on their health and the environment. The work of this dissertation was developed in two phases. A first in which European and national legislation were analyzed and the labels of 130 samples of foodstuffs from organic production were analyzed. It was found that the legislation is not being fully complied with. In a second phase, a questionnaire on the consumption and labeling of organic products was made available through the Google Forms platform. The analysis of the results allowed to conclude that consumers are not informed about an organic product and that they are not properly informed of how they can identify an organic product using the consultation of the label.
