O impacto ocidental na cultura popular japonesa

Abstract

Atualmente, a cultura popular Japonesa é fortemente impactante na identidade cultural da sociedade Ocidental. Porém, esta interculturalidade começou por influenciar a sociedade nipónica no princípio do século XX, quando existia uma ameaça de conflito entre o Japão e os EUA, aquando da produção de animações de propaganda de guerra, que evidenciavam o impacto da animação e da cultura popular americana da época. Também no período pós-Guerra, após o lançamento das bombas nucleares em Nagasaki e Hiroshima, existiu uma necessidade de ocidentalização dentro da sociedade nipónica. Neste artigo será feita uma reflexão sobre a influência que o Ocidente e a 2ª Guerra Mundial, infligiram no Japão e a forma como afetaram o imaginário japonês.
