Abstract

O presente estudo enquadra-se na temática das questões de autoavaliação e melhoria do sistema educativo, tendo como objetivo principal analisar o trabalho do diretor escolar, no processo de autoavaliação, tendo em vista compreender o modo como procedem para atingir mudanças organizacionais de melhoria. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida com dois diretores de agrupamentos de escolas localizados na região de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo. Para a recolha de dados utilizou-se a pesquisa arquivistica, e recorreu-se à entrevista semiestruturada aos dois diretores. Os dados foram sujeitos a análise de conteúdo. Com esta pesquisa foi possível identificar diretores envolvidos no processo de autoavaliação que atribuem importância a essa ferramenta para a gestão dos seus agrupamentos, considerando ser necessário adotar um olhar crítico e reflexivo e trabalhar em cima daquilo que precisa de ser alterado ou aperfeiçoado.

The present research is focused on self-evaluation and school improvement. The main goal consists to analyse the school principal work regarding self-evaluation, in order to understand how they attain school improvement. The research has developed with two directors of schools grouping localized in the Lisbon Valley region. To collect data have done a documental analysis and semi-structured interview to two school principals. The data have been submitted to content analysis. It was possible to identify school principals who are involved in self-evaluation processes, which they valued as a management tool, adopting a critical and reflexive approach in order to attain school improvement.
