Anti-histamínicos em otorrinolaringologia

Abstract

Antihistaminic drugs are one of the most widely used therapeutic groups. It is used among children as well as adults in order to treat and/or prevent allergic based pathologies. The innumerous presentations that are classified as non-prescription medicines in the maket contribute to this massive consumption. Given that it is a widely used group of drugs, an analyses of the scientific evidence that supports its use is in order to make it safe and optimized, specially in children, eldery and poly-medicated patients. This review main objective is an updating and systematization of the most recent scientific evidence in this matter.
