Gestão automática de dadores, transfusões e Banco de Sangue

Abstract

In Portugal, between 900 and 950 blood units are needed every day in Portuguese hospitals and there are about 209,000 blood donors. Given these numbers, it is essential that the donor blood units are well managed and screened and processed to be safely transfused to patients in need. This report describes the work done during the internship at Maxdata, where I was integrated in the implementation of Clinidata® Transfusion software, which will be integrated into Clinidata® software. It is a web-based donation, transfusion and blood bank information management system, to be used by nurses, doctors and laboratory technicians. Implemented to meet the business needs and workflow of the transfusion process, including donation, transfusion and blood unit (blood bank) management and allows integrations with external services, allowing communication between services. The implementation of this module was based on a set of requirements collected and documented by senior Maxdata analysts and followed an agile development model to respond quickly to changing requirements. The module was implemented by the Model-View-Presenter architectural standard, organized into three layers (data, business and presentation) was used and with the aid of several frameworks (Google Web Toolkit, Spring and Hibernate).
