This paper deals with the amendment of the insurance contract in Portugal. It is an issue that has not been present in master and doctoral theses in the profile of insurance law directly but that is linked to the formation of the contract, in particular the initial statements by the insured policyholder. The change to the initial insurance contract may have several reasons, a legal or other of the parties, and it is important to take into account the regime in force in the evolving circumstances of the time It is important that in the case of events which may be compensated by the insurance undertaking, the rules laid down by law have been complied with and the final one conveying one of the most important elements of the insurance activity, which is fiduity.

Este trabalho versa sobre a alteração do contrato de seguro em Portugal É um tema que não tem estado presente em teses de mestrado e de doutoramento no perfil do direito dos seguros de forma directa mas que está ligado à formação do contrato, em particular às declarações do Tomador do seguro, segurado.
