Da geometria descritiva à criação artística

Abstract

From Descriptive Geometry to Creativity is the title of this Educational Project. That was developed at the Secondary School of Caneças in the Odivelas Municipality, with the students of the 10th grade of the Scientific-Humanistic course of Visual Arts. This Educational Project was developed inside of the context of the Supervised Teaching Practice Master's Degree in Visual Arts Education. The main objective of this report of the Supervised Teaching Practice was to understand in which ways the three-dimensional didactic resources used in the discipline of Descriptive Geometry can enhance the ability in students to spatial visualization and conceptualization for producing artistic objects. To investigate this relationship, it was developed an investigation action supported in various case studies. Were selected three students from the 10th grade class of the Scientific-Humanistic course of Visual Arts of the Secondary School of Caneças, with insufficient results at Descriptive Geometry. However, one of these three students had a good result at the Drawing A discipline, another student had a medium result and the other student had an insufficient result. These three students were accompanied at Descriptive Geometry A and Drawing A classes performing a collection of data and observation. The focus of this study was to develop interdisciplinarity between Descriptive Geometry A and Drawing A with the goal to support individual artistic competences. This way, this study had resulted in a final artistic work developed in both disciplines, for which each student had to use the knowledge acquired in both disciplines.
