Estabilidade cromática das resinas compostas após a polimerização

Abstract

Objetivo: Investigar a estabilidade cromática de 7 resinas compostas, nas cores A1, A2 e A3, antes e após a polimerização, e se a variação cromática é dependente do tipo de resina e cor utilizada. Materiais e métodos: Foram preparados 5 discos de resina composta com 8 mm de diâmetro e 2 mm de espessura, em 3 cores diferentes (A1,A2,A3) a partir de 7 marcas comerciais: 3 resinas microhíbridas (Aelite All-Purpose Body, Bisco; Herculite HRV, Kerr; Point 4, Kerr), 3 resinas nanohíbridas (Enamel HRi, Miscerium; GrandiOso, Voco; Premise, Kerr) e 1 resina nanoparticulada (Filtek Supreme XT, 3M ESPE). As medições da cor foram realizadas com um espectrofotómetro de contacto (VITA EasyShade), de acordo com o sistema CIE L*a*b. As medições foram realizadas antes e imediatamente após a polimerização, permitindo calcular a variação de cor (ΔE). Valores ΔE ≥ 3,7 foram considerados como clinicamente inaceitáveis. Os resultados obtidos foram analisados usando a análise de variância fatorial (ANOVA) e testes post-hoc Scheffe e Bonferroni. Um nível de significância de 0,01 foi utilizado em todos os testes. Resultados: De acordo com os tipos de resina, a amplitude de valores de ΔE após a polimerização foi de 2,28 – 15,01 para as resinas microhíbridas, 0,00 – 15,82 para as resinas nanohíbridas e 5,68 – 10,71 para as resinas nanoparticuladas. De acordo com a cor utilizada, a amplitude de valores de ΔE foi de 0,00 – 15,82 para amostras A1, 3,80 – 15,01 para amostras A2 e 2,28 – 14,37 para amostras A3. A análise de variância fatorial (ANOVA) e testes post-hoc mostram existirem diferenças estatisticamente significativas de ΔE entre as resinas nanohíbridas e nanoparticuladas. Não foram encontradas diferenças estatisticamente significativas de ΔE entre as cores A1,A2 e A3.Conclusões: Todos os materiais utilizados exibiram alterações de cor clinicamente inaceitáveis (ΔE ≥ 3,7). As alterações de cor foram dependentes do material mas não da cor utilizada.

Objetive: To investigate the color stability of 7 resin composites in colors A1, A2 and A3, before and after polymerization, and if the color change is dependent on the type of resin and color used.Materials and methods: Five discs with 8 mm in diameter and 2 mm in thickness, in 3 diferent colors (A1, A2, A3) were prepared from 7 commercially availabe brands of resin composite: 3 microhybrid (Aelite All-Purpose Body, Bisco; Herculite HRV, Kerr; Point 4, Kerr); 3 nanohybrid (Enamel HRi, Miscerium; GrandiOso, Voco; Premise, Kerr) and 1 nanofilled (Filtek Supreme XT, 3M ESPE). Color measurements were recorded with a contact spectrophotometer (VITA EasyShade) and expressed in terms of the CIE L*a*b scale. Color change was calculated between baseline and immediately after polymerization (ΔE). Values ΔE ≥ 3,7 were considered clinically unacceptable. The results were analyzed using a three-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Scheffe and Bonferroni’s post-hoc tests. A significance level of 0,01 was used for all tests. Results: According to the type of resins, ΔE values ranged from 2,28 – 15,01 for microhybid resins, 0,00 – 15,82 for nanohybrid resins, and 5,68 – 10,71 for nanofilled resins. According to the color used, ΔE values ranged from 0,00 – 15,82 for A1 resins, 3,80 – 15,01 for A2 resins, and 2,28 – 14,37 for A3 resins. ANOVA and post-hoc tests showed significant differences (ΔE) between nanohybrid and nanofilled resins. No significant diferences were found between colors A1, A2 and A3.Conclusions: All the materials tested showed color changes clinically unnaceptable (ΔE ≥ 3,7). Color changes were dependente on the material but not the color used.
