Hipogonadismo : revisão a propósito de 3 casos clínicos

Abstract

The male hypogonadism is defined as a sindrome that results from the insufficient production of testosterone by the gonads, with affection of several systems in which the hormone has action. Hypogonadism results from a flaw along the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis being its classification made according to the its location. The clinical manifestations depends from the severity of the lack of testosterone and the age of its onseat. The diagnosis begins by an assay of the testosterone hormone and gonadotrophins, this assay will confirm the deficit and its possible etiology. The treatment with testosterone it's always indicated in the presence of the symptomatology that interfers with the life quality of the patient, taking into account the benefits and the secondary effects. In this work 3 clinical cases of hypogonadism will be discussed by reviewing the theory.
