O estilo de aprendizagem do indivíduo corresponde à forma como ele se posiciona no processo de aprendizagem. Tem influência na forma como olha e interpreta o mundo e ainda como nele se desenvolve. A sabedoria representa um nível extraordinário de desenvolvimento humano, associado à experiência de vida e à aprendizagem que os indivíduos fazem com ela. Existirá alguma relação entre o estilo de aprendizagem dos sujeitos e os seus níveis de sabedoria? Para responder a esta questão estudámos os estilos de aprendizagem e os níveis de sabedoria numa amostra de adultos e adultos idosos e a correlação entre eles. Utilizámos como instrumentos de recolha de dados o questionário Learning Style Inventory – Version 3.1 (LSI 3.1), de Kolb (2005) e a escala Three-Dimensional Wisdom Scale (3D-WS) de Ardelt (2003). A análise quantitativa efectuada indica que a grande maioria dos sujeitos da nossa amostra se encontram em níveis médios de sabedoria e tem um perfil relativamente equilibrado no LSI 3.1. Embora não apresentem uma especialização marcada num estilo de aprendizagem em particular têm preferência pelos que são mais reflexivos e concretos, sendo o mais frequente, o Divergente. O estudo correlacional entre estilos de aprendizagem, tal como são medidos por Kolb e níveis de sabedoria, tal como são medidos por Ardelt, revelou a existência de uma correlação significativa mas fraca entre uma das dimensões de aprendizagem (CA-EC) e a Dimensão Cognitiva de Sabedoria. Discutem-se estes resultados e sugere-se a realização de novas pesquisas sobre o tema.

The Learning Style represents the way people behave in the learning process. This influence the way people see and understand the world, and also the way they developed. Wisdom is an extraordinary level of human development, and it is connected with live experience and learning experience in live. Are there any relationship between learning style and wisdom? To answer this question we study, in a Portuguese sample of adults and older people, learning styles and wisdom scores and levels. Than we correlate them. We use the Kolb Learning Style Inventory – Version 3.1 (LSI 3.1) (2005) and the Ardelt Three-Dimensional Wisdom Scale (3D-WS) (2003). The quantitative data analysis indicates that most of the research participants are in a medium level of wisdom and are balanced in their learning orientation in LSI. They don´t have a dominant particular learning style. They have rather reflective and concrete styles. The most frequent style found was the Diverging. The correlation study between learning styles, in the way they are measured by Kolb and wisdom scores, in the way they are measured by Ardelt, revealed a very weak correlation between one of the learning dimensions (AC-CE) and the cognitive dimension of the 3D-WS. We discuss the results and propose more research on the subject.
