As práticas de gestão de recursos humanos e o comprometimento afetivo dos trabalhadores temporários : o papel moderador do setor de atividade

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between the Human Resources Practices and the Affective Commitment in a sample of temporary agency workers. Moderating this relationship is the activity sector, expecting that this relationship is stronger for workers in the service sector rather than in the manufacturing sector. The hypotesis were tested with a correlation analysis with a sample of temporary workers (n=3406) of the Industry (n=1242) and the Services (n=2164), who had contract with different agencies of temporary work. The results confirm the existance of a strong and positive relationship between the Human Resources Practices and the Affective Commitment. Nonetheless, unlike we expected, this relationship had no significative diferences between Sectors. The limitations and implications for the Human Resources Management in temporary workers are presented.
