Neste artigo tento mostrar a multiplicidade de pontos de vista que a paisagem como género pictural oferece à contemplação, espelhando uma universalidade temática, que a transforma em médium, i.e. meio artístico de olhar e de figurar o mundo. Joaquim Bravo pinta o seu sentir e reflexão sobre a paisagem. A sua obra provoca-me uma dualidade: o entusiasmo que nasce do coração e o desafio intelectual que exige ao meu discernimento. In this text I try to show the multiplicity of view points which landscape as a art genre conveys to contemplation, mirroring a thematic universality capable to transform it in a medium, i.e. a way how to look at and depict the world. Joaquim Bravo pictures in landscape what he is feeling and reflecting about it. His work arises in me a duality: exhilaration from the heart and intellectual challenge which demands my insight.
