Suporte e controlo de agregadores de conteudo ondemand

Abstract

The growing presence of Internet in most media devices and the liberalization of the digital content market, introduced the need for new challenges in the word of telecommunications. The IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), a system where a digital TV service is available via the IP protocol on a given network infrastructure, comes as a response to that need. Motivated by competitiveness and by the huge range of options that users have at their disposal, companies operating in the telecommunications market are struggling to find new products that are innovative, attractive and most of all, that help to promote customer loyalty to the product. Nowadays, IPTV is certainly one of those products, not only because it’s affordable to most families, but also because it is appealing in terms of usability and contents. Currently, in addition to the films and documentaries, the television series are the ones causing a major interest by the costumers of this service, and this is precisely the sector we want to innovate with the introduction of the feature: On Demand Bundles. The work here presented, is an extension for current Nokia Siemens Network’s platform for IPTV: within a single transaction the costumer is able to rent several On Demand contents.
