Abstract

Il contributo analizza alcuni interventi architettonici e urbanistici realizzati a Castelvetrano (TP) nell’Ottocento e in tempi recenti. L'analisi si incentra in particolare su tre elementi significativi: il teatro Selinus (1873-1930); il sistema di piazze progettato da Pasquale Culotta; e, infine, la Casa Comunale (2003- 2008), intervento che riqualifica la zona periferica a nord-ovest della cittadina, progettata dall'architetto Orazio La Monaca.
