Abstract

Raccontare il plagio C’è chi plagia, c’è chi è plagiato. Casistica ricca, per lo più occulta. Con rare, brevi incursioni sotto i riflettori della cronaca. Per chi scrive è comunque un’ossessione: la posta in gioco è solo marginalmente di tipo economico, ciò che conta è l’affermazione dell’originalità. E allora non stupisce il fatto che molti scrittori finiscano per riversare quell’ossessione nelle pagine dei loro stessi romanzi. Come si racconta il plagio? Da quale prospettiva? La prima e più ovvia è quella di chi lo subisce. Scrittori molto spesso esordienti: meno visibili, più ingenui. Poi c’è il punto di vista di chi si appropria – con scrupolo variabile – del talento altrui. Ci sono opere edificate su un peccato originale e poi riscattate da un’onorevole carriera successiva. Una terza possibile angolazione: il testimone esterno, il detective più o meno improvvisato. A lui – o a lei – capita prima o poi di scontrarsi con l’inevitabile quesito: fino a dove ci si può spingere per giustificare un plagio?
