Abstract

Esse trabalho teve a finalidade de avaliar as contribuições do Programa Escola Ativa sobre a qualidade do ensino em escolas multisseriadas do campo, no Estado de Pernambuco. Apresenta diferenciações entre crescimento e desenvolvimento e destaca a importância da educação, para o exercício da cidadania. Descreve a origem da Escola Nova e sua contribuição para o surgimento do Escola Ativa. Destacam-se os elementos estruturantes do Programa e o papel do (a) Supervisor (a) Municipal no processo de formação continuada. Após análise e interpretação dos resultados obtidos através da realização de uma investigação junto aos supervisores (as) municipais e docentes, concluiu-se que, nas condições de realização da pesquisa, a adoção dessa metodologia, contribuiu significativamente para a qualidade das atividades pedagógicas nessas escolas, fato que se refletiu no aumento dos índices de avaliação dos alunos, na qualidade da formação profissional dos (as) professores (as) envolvidos (as) nas ações e no resgate da valorização dos sujeitos e de seu espaço de vida, na construção de sua escolarização. Problemas relativos às questões de gestão municipal e de falta de estrutura de acesso no campo são apontados como os principais obstáculos na qualidade da educação do campo nessas escolas.

This work aimed to evaluate the contributions of Active School Program in improving teaching about the quality of teaching in multigrade schools field in Pernambuco State. Displays differences between growth and development and the importance of education for citizenship. Describes the origin of New School and its contribution of the Active School. Noteworthy are the structural elements of the program and the role of Supervisor Municipal in the process of continuing education. Analysis and interpretation of the results obtained by conducting a field survey with municipal supervisors and teachers, concluded that, under the conditions of the research, the adoption of this methodology, contributed significantly to the quality of educational activities in these schools, a fact that was reflected in increased rates of student assessment, the quality of training for teachers and valuing people and their living space, the construction of their schooling. Problems concerning matters of municipal management and lack of access structure in the field are pointed out as the main obstacles in the quality of rural education in these schools.
