A construção das competências transversais no ensino superior: estudo de caso

Abstract

As mudanças de paradigma e as alterações que decorreram do Processo de Bolonha, contribuíram para que as Instituições de Ensino Superior sentissem a necessidade de proporcionar aos estudantes uma formação científica e técnica de qualidade, através da qual se pudesse garantir o seu sucesso pessoal, social, académico e profissional. Um objetivo que depende, entre outras coisas, da afirmação de projetos de formação preocupados com o desenvolvimento de competências e de competências transversais, por parte desses estudantes, nas mais diversas áreas do saber. Por isso, é que nesta dissertação procuramos refletir sobre o último tipo de competências atrás referido, destacando-se, neste âmbito, a abordagem referente ao papel a assumir pelos docentes, o modo como a construção e o desenvolvimento de tais competências afeta e é percecionado pelos estudantes e a abordagem relativa ao processo de operacionaliação do projeto de formação subordinado a tais pressupostos. Assim, discute-se uma abordagem de um modelo de ensino-aprendizagem vocacionado para promover o desenvolvimento das competências dos estudantes, o qual conduz a uma reflexão sobre os saberes como recursos a serem mobilizados, sobre o trabalho por meio de problemas e de projectos de caráter interdisciplinar, sobre a utilização de metodologias de ensino-aprendizagem ativas e, ainda, sobre o enquadramento de uma avaliação formativa e certificativa que considere as necessidades dos estudantes. Foi a partir do quadro acabado de descrever que, no projeto de pesquisa desenvolvido, se discutiram e confrontaram os dados obtidos tanto através dos questionários respondidos pelos estudantes como dos suplementos da Ficha de Unidade Curricular que os docentes preencheram. Dados estes que permitiram compreender e refletir sobre o desenvolvimento das competências transversais que foram mais e menos exercitadas no curso de Licenciatura em Gestão de Empresas, bem como sobre a importância das mesmas como objetivo de formação.

Paradigm shifts and changes elapsed with the Bologna Process, have contributed to Education Institutions to feel the need to provide the students with a scientific and technical qualities, and also empower them with soft skills that enhance their personal, social, academic and professional success. A goal that depends, among other things, on assertion training projects concerned with the development of skills and transversal skills by these students, in the most diverse areas of knowledge. Thus, we discuss an approach to a model of teaching and learning designed to promote the development of students' skills, which leads to a reflection on the knowledge and resources to be deployed on the work through problems and projects interdisciplinary, concerning the use of active teaching methodologies and apprenticeship, and also on the framework of a formative evaluation and certificativa which considers the needs of students. It was from the picture just described that, in the developed project of research, were discussed and confronted the data obtained from questionnaires answered by the students, as well from the supplements of Curricular Unit's data sheet, filled by the docents. These Stats allowed us to understand and reflect on the development of transversal skills that were more or less exercised in the Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, as well as their importance as a training goal.
