Espaço universitário para o ensino da arquitetura

Abstract

The present investigation was elaborated as an analysis to a project presented by the author for acquiring a Master degree, in the subject Projeto IV, in Mestrado Integrado em Arquitetura, in Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, while completing the second semester of 2013/2014. The project was executed with the purpose of developing a Master Plan for the University Campus in Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, in Campo Grande, and a precise transformation of the Architecture Department [D’ARQ] building. For such purpose it relays on an accurate study of the space to develop, its immediate requests, to whom it is built and shared knowledge from architects such as: Walter Gropius, Vilanova Artigas e Álvaro Siza, as an inspirational source. We conduct a comparative analysis of the different spaces adopting, in the project process, some solutions similar to those used in the past by the architects we made reference from. This project aims for an integrative solution between students, regardless their courses or subjects of study, concerning the spaces they use and share, attempting to increase knowledge and produce a multidisciplinary investigation environment, as well as inspire students in their ‘work places’ with the space organization and building architecture itself.
