Valores sociais em estudantes universitários portugueses

Abstract

Os valores estão presentes nas sociedades, nas diversas culturas e modificam-se de geração em geração. O objectivo primordial desta dissertação é abordar os valores sociais dos estudantes universitários de universidades portuguesas, segundo os dez tipos motivacionais analisados na teoria de Schwartz. Neste estudo participaram 314 estudantes, sendo que 151 são do sexo masculino e 163 do sexo feminino. Os estudantes responderam a um questionário composto por uma escala de medida de valores sociais, de atitudes altruístas e obrigação moral, contendo ainda questões de caracterização demográfica. Os resultados demonstraram que existe uma pré-disposição dos jovens para valores de abertura à mudança, à realização de novas experiências, bem como de valores sociais de auto-promoção.

The values are present in society, in the diverse cultures and are modified from generation to generation. The primordial objective of this dissertation is to analyse the social values of university student at Portuguese universities, following the 10 motivational types analyse in the theory of Schwartz. 314 student’s partipated in this study, 151 are of male gender and 164 of female gender. The student responded to a questioner composed by a scale of social values altruist attitudes and moral obligation as well as some questions regarding demographic characterization. The results demonstrated that there exists a pre-disposition in youth to change, in realize new experiences, as well as of social values and self-promotion. KEY-WORDS:
