O recurso a ambientes virtuais no ensino-aprendizagem de geometria descritiva

Abstract

Na aprendizagem da Geometria Descritiva estão envolvidos diversos tipos de inteligência, destacando-se a inteligência visual-espacial, o foco de desenvolvimento da disciplina, uma vez que desta depende o domínio das técnicas de representação bidimensional. A imaginação surge, portanto, como um meio e um fim em si mesma. Atualmente, os professores deparam-se com cada vez mais alunos com muitas dificuldades em compreender os conteúdos da disciplina, o que tem conduzido a um agravamento do número de reprovações e desistências. Com a necessidade de inverter esta tendência têm aumentado, igualmente, a procura de novas estratégias didático-pedagógicas. As ferramentas digitais capazes de criarem ambientes virtuais têm ganho visibilidade na área do ensino, sendo defendidas por especialistas que acreditam que o seu potencial em desenvolver o raciocínio abstrato poderá ser benéfico no ensino-aprendizagem da Geometria Descritiva. Com este trabalho, e através da utilização das referidas ferramentas informáticas, pretende-se, neste sentido, analisar o contributo da apresentação, em sala de aula, de modelos tridimensionais virtuais, procurando aferir em que medida pode o ensino-aprendizagem da disciplina beneficiar destes recursos.

Learning Descriptive Geometry involves several kinds of intelligence, the most important of them being the visual-spatial intelligence, subject development focus, since the two-dimensional techniques representation mastery depends on it. Imagination emerges, therefore, as a vehicle and an end in itself. Nowadays, teachers are faced with more and more students with many difficulties in understanding the contents of the subject, which has led to an increase in the number of failures and dropouts. With the need to reverse this trend have also increased the demand for new teaching strategies. Digital tools able to create virtual environments have been gaining visibility in education, being defended by experts who believe that their potential to develop abstract reasoning may be beneficial in the learning of Descriptive Geometry. Thus, the main goal of this work is, through the use of such software tools, to analyze the contribution of the class room presentation of virtual three-dimensional models, seeking to assess the benefits of using these resources to the Descriptive Geometry teaching-learning
