Maquiavel revisitado: fronteiras e segurança

Maquiavel revisitado: fronteiras e segurança

Abstract

Five centuries ago, when n iccolo Machiavelli offered The Prince to Lorenzo de Medici, he didn’t reach, immediately, his intent. However, this book would be the key to the immortality of his political thought. In the current situation, after the collapse of the Eastern bloc and the failure of the unipolar American model, Mankind is still looking for a new paradigm. In an interdependent World where political parties assume the condition of very new Prince, it’s urgent to revisit Machiavelli because the Florentine master’s thought can contribute to the redefinition of borders and to the return of security.
