Hiperactividade Défice de Atenção

Abstract

Children with Hyperactivity Disorder and Attention Deficit, or ADHD, can be a real challenge for parents, teachers and themselves. There are several subtypes of ADHD, depending on the combination of symptoms that the child has. Some children are predominantly hyperactive or impulsive, while others have significant difficulties with attention, without being hyperactive or impulsive. The fundamental objective of this work is to become a tool for teachers in order to make possible the process of teaching and learning for student success, in terms of cognitive, social and emotional points of view, in addition to raise the awareness of the teachers for a problem that goes far beyond a "restlessness, aggressiveness and poor education," as usually these students are termed. Thus, this work is divided into two parts and is divided into six chapters. In the first part, we do a theoretical approach: Evolution of the Concept of Special Education, Hyperactivity-Concept and Approach to ADHD and the School. In the second part we present an empirical framework: Methodology, Case Studies and finally a critical reflection to the work done.
