A influência da inteligência cultural na gestão da diversidade e de equipas multiculturais: estudo exploratório

Abstract

Com a globalização vivida até ao presente ano, cada vez mais o mundo foi experienciando momentos de interligação entre países e culturas sem precedentes, sendo esta interconectividade promovida pela força do avanço tecnológico que tornou cada vez mais fácil as diferentes comunicações, assim como as viagens entre países cada vez mais acessíveis. De forma crescente, as várias vantagens relacionadas com a prática da inteligência cultural por parte das lideranças, assumem-se como uma importante ferramenta ao serviço das organizações, fornecendo informação de uma forma coesa, objetiva e lógica, tendo em conta as dimensões culturais de diversos países e a maneira como os diversos comportamentos podem influenciar as relações laborais, as negociações e lideranças, que constituem toda a comunidade laboral, com especial destaque para os lideres, gestão intercultural e a possibilidade da compreensão das diferenças, aliada com práticas eficientes de Recursos Humanos, agregando a inteligência cultural. Neste trabalho verificou-se a necessidade de estudar a inteligência cultural e a possível produção dos seus efeitos na gestão das equipas multiculturais, assim como da influência dos líderes no desenvolvimento de processos e implementação de qualidade no ambiente de trabalho, bem como a sua importância, relativamente ao crescimento mercantil referenciando as novas formas de organização e de liderança verificadas no quotidiano. Quanto à metodologia, realizou se uma investigação de tipo qualitativo, com uma pesquisa bibliográfica, descritiva e exploratória. A recolha de dados realizou-se através de entrevistas semiestruturadas, usando a entrevista aberta. Os resultados permitem concluir que o desempenho organizacional e bem-estar geral dos colaboradores, assim como a eficiência e sucesso da gestão de RH, é fruto do espelho de um trabalho eficaz que é realizado pelo departamento, intercalando os interesses da empresa e dos colaboradores, sendo que neste contexto, constata-se que se verificam melhorias através da inserção da teoria da inteligência cultural na gestão das equipas multiculturais nas organizações, assim como é possível auferir, através da influência dos líderes e da tomada de decisão com sensibilidade cultural, que existe um desenvolvimento pessoal e progressão, que relacionados com o aumento da produtividade, leva à melhoria da imagem da empresa e maior reconhecimento por parte dos clientes, assim como abre a possibilidade de redução de custos e internacionalização. With the globalization that has taken place so far this year, the world has increasingly experienced unprecedented moments of interconnection between countries and cultures. This interconnectivity has been promoted by the power of technological advances, which have made it increasingly easy to communicate and accessible to travel between countries. Increasingly, the various advantages related to the practice of cultural intelligence by leaders, have become an important tool at the service of organizations, providing information in a cohesive, objective and logical way, taking into account the cultural dimensions of different countries and the way in which different behaviours can influence working relationships, negotiations and leadership, that make up the entire working community, with special emphasis on leaders, on intercultural management and the possibility of understanding differences, combined with efficient Human Resources practices, adding the cultural Intelligence. In this work, there was a need to study cultural intelligence and its possible effects on the management of multicultural teams, as well as the influence of leaders on the development of processes and the implementation of quality in the workplace, as well as its importance in relation to market growth, with reference to the new forms of organization and leadership found in everyday life. In terms of methodology, this was a qualitative study, with bibliographical, descriptive and exploratory research. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, using open-ended interviews. The results allow us to conclude that organizational performance and the general well-being of employees, as well as the efficiency and success of HR management, that is the result of the effective work carried out by the department, interspersing the interests of the company and the employees, and in this context, it can be seen that there are improvements through the implementation of the theory of cultural intelligence in the management of multicultural teams in organizations. It is also possible to see, through the influence of leaders and culturally sensitive decision making, that there is personal development and progression, which, are related to increased productivity, and leads to an improvement concerning the company's image and greater recognition by customers, as well, as opening up the possibility of cost reduction and internationalization.
