Abstract

Na transição do século XIX para o século XX, surge a preocupação de tutelar os direitos do trabalhador em caso de acidente no trabalho. Pretendeu-se evitar a perda de capacidade de trabalho através da emissão de normas sobre a segurança, higiene e saúde no local de trabalho, e de um sistema de reparação dos danos que decorrem de acidente de trabalho.
