Abstract

O presente trabalho possui como tema principal verificar de que forma o marketing e a evolução das tecnologias podem configurar-se alavancas para a melhoria do desempenho das unidades hoteleiras na sua relação com o cliente potencial e real, ao longo de todo o ciclo de valor da viagem. Assim, pretende-se analisar o posicionamento das unidades hoteleiras face à utilização das ferramentas de marketing digital e verificar que ganhos são ainda possíveis obter a partir de uma melhor utilização das potencialidades das respetivas ferramentas. Para isto, e através de uma metodologia de análise qualitativa, apresenta-se o resultado do estudo de caso realizado no sentido de aferir o posicionamento das unidades hoteleiras da cidade do Porto face a esta matéria.

This work has as main theme to verify how marketing and the evolution of technologies can be configured as levers to improve the performance of hotel units in their relationship with potential and real customers, throughout the entire value cycle of the trip. Thus, it is intended to analyze the positioning of hotel units in relation to the use of digital marketing tools and to verify that gains are still possible to obtain from a better use of the potential of the respective tools. For this, and through a qualitative analysis methodology, the result of the case study carried out in order to assess the positioning of hotel units in the city of Porto in relation to this matter is presented.
