Las candidaturas independientes en México

Abstract

This work is a report of some background of the figure of the independent candidacies in the recent history of Mexico, in order to understand the progress made in this form of participation, since the constitutional reform in the political field of the year 2012 and its regulation in 2014.Similarly, provides information about the results achieved by some independent candidates in the federal election of 2015 and different local processes of the same year, concluding with that, even though this form of participation has enabled great advances in the subject of citizen participation, it is still a pending issue for Mexico, the guarantee equitable competition between the political parties and independent candidates.
